Dates: June 19, 20, 21 (3 days) DESCRIPTION: Unique opportunity to spend 3 days learning multiple ways to build sturdy clay walls using sticky clay soil. Learn the basics of adobe brick laying, sculpted cob walls, plus wattle-and-daub walls…all in one weekend! What you learn: • benefits of clay walls • understanding ingredients & the function each one serves • how to test site soil for clay content & establish your basic recipes • low-tech mixing techniques • hands-on experience building • overview of rubble trench foundations PROJECT: We will build a clay garden wall using 3 wall methods: adobe bricks, sculpted cob, reinforced wattle-and-daub.
