Learn the basics of hempcrete, cob, and clay-based plaster all in one workshop! What you learn: • basics of mixing & installing hempcrete • benefits of clay walls • understanding ingredients & the function each one serves • how to test site soil for clay content & establish your basic cob recipe • low-tech mixing techniques • hands-on experience building • plastering techniques & tips • passive solar design overview PROJECT: We will finish up a passive solar greenhouse structure on our farm, including insulating exterior foundation walls with hempcrete, completing a cob wall, and shaping walls with a versatile, fiber-rich clay plaster.
