Poured adobe can be used over framed floors or to cover radiant floor heating systems. They are durable, inexpensive, easy to maintain, and DIY-friendly to install. DATE: September 26, 27, 28 (3 Days) LOCATION: Downtown Westport, NY DESCRIPTION: Fiber-rich clay plaster is the backbone of natural building. This versatile plaster can be used in many ways and over many different substrates. We will apply a levelling coat over strawbale walls, as well as learn how to apply over wood lath (on conventional stud wall). You will learn skills that you can literally apply to any building…new or existing! DATE: April 11-12 (2 Days) DESCRIPTION: Come build a sawhorse, frame a stud wall, and make some sawdust alongside two female frame-to-finish carpenters who are excited to share tricks of the trade.
