DATE: June 19, 20, 21 (3 days) DESCRIPTION: Unique opportunity to spend 3 days learning multiple ways to build sturdy clay walls using sticky clay soil. Learn the basics of adobe brick laying, sculpted cob walls, plus wattle-and-daub walls…all in one weekend! WHAT YOU LEARN: • benefits of clay walls • understanding ingredients & the function each one serves • how to test site soil for clay content & establish your basic recipes • low-tech mixing techniques • hands-on experience building • overview of rubble trench foundations PROJECT: We will build a clay garden wall using 3 wall methods: adobe bricks, sculpted cob, reinforced wattle-and-daub. Workshop Cancellation Policy Cancellations with more than 30 days notice have two options: 1. Receive a coupon code for the full workshop fee to use toward any future workshop 2. Receive a refund minus 10% processing fee Cancellation with 14 to 30 days notice receive 50% refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellations within 14 days of the course date. Extenuating circumstances will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact workshops@buildnaturally.com if you need to cancel your participation. You receive a full refund if your workshop is cancelled by Down to Earth Design.
