DATE: April 11-12 (2 Days) DESCRIPTION: Come build a sawhorse, frame a stud wall, and make some sawdust alongside two female frame-to-finish carpenters who are excited to share tricks of the trade. WHAT YOU LEARN: • basic power tool use & safety – with loads of practice! Let’s make some sawdust!! • how to outfit your tool belt and the tools you need to show up on a jobsite with • construction jargon • basic house anatomy • ergonomics and leverage (moving ladders, plywood, heavy materials, etc.) • how to navigate tricky job site dynamics (especially as a woman in the trades) TESTIMONIALS: "I was really terrified of power tools before I took this class, and deeply appreciated the teaching methods that build confidence!
